Education: BSW, Minnesota State University - Moorhead, 1980; MSW, University of Minnesota - Duluth, 1984
Background/Experience: As a licensed clinical social worker and qualified mental health professional, Deb provides diagnostic evaluations and therapy for a variety of emotional and behavioral disorders; including anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma and other life problems. She helps clients learn practical ways to deal with the issues that are distressing to them. During her career she has worked in a variety of settings; including mental health clinics, nursing homes, hospitals, crisis line, Indian Health clinic, and foster care.
Professional Interests/Specialties: She has special clinical interests in adolescent problems, self harm, stress management, depression, chronic illness, grief and loss, critical incidence stress debriefings and sexual abuse.
Affiliations/Activities: Deb is certified by the National Registry as an Emergency Medical Technician - Basic and is a volunteer for the Northeast Area Ambulance. She is a member of the Watertown Area Critical Incident Stress Management Team. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, volunteering for community and school events, camping, gardening and canning.
