ATCO Nursing

The medical needs of people supported are monitored and managed by the ATCO Nursing Team along with the person's individual physician.

Examples of services for the consumer may include:

- Scheduling and accompanying to medical appointments

- Administration of medications

- Monitoring of medications and their side effects

- Instructional medical classes, CPR, and First Aid

- Maintenance of the person's medical charts

- Treatment of illnesses and injuries

- Maintenance of communication between medical professionals and other ATCO care-givers

- Updating, maintaining, and administering vaccines and serums

- Laboratory services

- Medical and emotional support

- 24 hour on-call nursing services

The ATCO Nursing Team consists of one full-time Registered Nurse, two full-time Licensed Practical Nurses, one nursing support services staff and two nursing transportation staff.
