Milbank Program
Residential Supports are provided to people who live in their own homes within our community. People in this setting receive supports any where from several times per day to several times per week. Supports are individualized based on the person's wants, desires, dreams and needs. Supports may include assistance with medications, finances, grocery shopping, cleaning, cooking and laundry, as well as assisting with leisure/recreational opportunities within the community.
Employment Services benefits the people we serve, the employees, and the community by developing job opportunities for people. Benefits of employment are widespread. The people supported enjoy the rewards of employment and the pride and self-respect of being a productive member of the community, while providing for everyday needs. The employer can take advantage of financial incentives, training by job coaches and access to a capable labor force. The community benefits from additional tax contributors.
Employment Connections is a Vocational Resource Center that works with people who are referred by South Dakota Vocational Rehabilitation Services. We work closely with the counselors to ensure proper supports and services are being provided and the person's vocational goals are being met. We support people in the transition from vocational training into the community.
