Day Services
Day Services provides people with the education, exposure and experiences they need to be able to make support choices and have work that is meaningful to them. One meaningful goal is to promote personal outcomes through person directed choices and supports.
To do this, we support people by working with area businesses to acquire jobs that provide experience and exposure in the areas of interest that are expressed by people. The workshop consists of a production woodshop and tabletop assembly/packaging area and a nutritional services department. We offer a variety of work choices to assist the person supported in determining a work preference and provide wages for their work. ATCO may surprise you as to how we can help your business. We may be able to save you money for labor and square footage on production contract work.
We also offer an alternative service program to provide nontraditional forms of meaningful work and/or activity choices for people we support.
- Habilitation Services provides supports to people who need supports in the areas of occupational therapy, physical therapy and communication.
- STAR provides exposure and education to people in the area of arts, music, community events, cooking and world events. Activities are scheduled in these areas that provide people with the opportunity to improve their communication and socialization skills.
- Retirement Supports emphasize supporting people in learning skills they can use to retire. People in this program either do not attend a formal day activity such as work or do so part time. Supports are provided with activities, cooking, laundry, personal hygiene, communication, leisure activities, socialization, and safety skills. Supports in this setting are provided 24 hours, seven days a week.
