Special Education

Adolescents and adults learn how to utilize skills in their daily environment. Some of the training is done in one-to-one situations where we are building and reinforcing problem solving, organizational and communication skills.

Special education also works on informal pre/post assessments, parent/staff letters, handouts, oral and written activities, and vocabulary. Computers are also used for positive practice.  The following represent a sample of the functional academic classes ATCO offers:
